Workshop Information
Workshops at The Agency will give you the chance to learn more about electronic music and the many ways it is created, thru experimentalism, technology and software! Only $5 gets you into three great workshops to expand your mind!WORKSHOPS on Oct. 11 @ The Agency: Doors @ 11:30am. $5 admission (for all three workshops), or FREE with your 3 day Oscillation Pass.
We also ask that you bring as much of the following supplies as possible, if you plan on creating items in the workshops:
(We will have many supplies in house, but we are a small operation and would ask for your help in bringing supplies for your learning experience) Much, if not all of this, can be found at a local Radio Shack.
- PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR - this is a MUST!!
- Small worktable
- Screwdrivers, cable cutters, scissors, basic tools
- RCA cables to cut up
- 1/4 inch cables to cut up (NO XLR CABLES, PERIOD)
- Piezeo Elements (contact mics) (at least two)
- Resin-Core Solder
- Soldering Iron
- Aluminum Foil
- 273-1380 Coupling Transformer
- Electrical Tape
- Three +8 toggle switches
- One Monnelay switch
- One 5k potentiometer
- One 100k Potentiometer
- One Milliamp Potentiometer
- One 1/4 inch output jack
- Test Leads
- Power strip & Extension Cord
Workshop Schedule
12noon: Contact mic instrument creation with Raven Chacon:Learn how to make your own experimental Instruments from contact microphones in this workshop!
1:30pm: Circuit Bending with Ehrin: Bring a battery powered (ONLY) toy or instrument and learn the beginnings of Circuit Bending! Make that Speak N' Spell say crazy things!
3:00pm: A presentation on Numerology software by five12 software (local New Mexico software company!): Learn about Numerology, a new piece of music making software set to change how you make music!
